These two are original mixed media works on paper. Usually they feature acrylic paint, oil pastel, dry pastel and pencil. They are on heavy watercolor paper and the image size of the Place one is about 18" x 26 ". Image size of Books by the Fire is 12" x 18". The musicians piece is called Blowing and is a giclee print. Image size is 24" x 34".

I know it's a little late to share this with you, but once a year there is an almost secret free Jazz festival here in Vicksburg. It always ends with one of the giants of Jazz, and this year it is Benny Golson. This is from the Alcorn Jazz Festival site: The 26th Anniversary Alcorn State University Jazz Festival will take place on April 22, 2006 and will feature Benny Golson. The festival be at the Vicksburg Convention Center and will be celebrated along with the Riverfest in Vicksburg, Mississippi (map). The jazz festival is free and open to the public. The festival is funded in part by the Mississippi Arts Commission, the Southern Arts Federation and the National Endowment for the Arts. The following artists will appear with Benny Golson: Rashaan Carter (bass) Carl Allen (drums) and Mike Ledonne (piano).
